It’s a space where regulars are made and moments are savored.

As Sons of Liberty Alehouse continues to expand and grow, we understand your venture into a partnership might be a new opportunity for you, but it will hardly be new territory for us.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking franchise partners who meet our qualifications. To be considered as a potential Sons of Liberty Alehouse franchise candidate, you must meet the following qualifications.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in casual dining (or fast casual) as owner/operator.
  • Minimum fixed charge coverage of 1.35x on a unit level basis.
  • Maximum debt to cash flow less than or equal to 8.0x.
  • Minimum total equity greater than or equal to 20%.
  • Minimum net worth greater than or equal to $500K per acquired restaurant.
  • Minimum liquidity greater than or equal to $400K per restaurant to be developed (i.e. cash reserves).
  • An infrastructure dedicated to the development of our brand.
  • Local knowledge and expertise in the areas of consumer preferences, real estate, government regulations, labor, and distribution issues.
  • Access to adequate capital, such that losses are sustainable for 2-3 year period while continuing to develop additional units.
  • Philosophically aligned.

Approval Process

If the qualifications are met, the potential partner vetting process will begin with the following steps:

Pre-qualification
  • Complete a Request for Consideration form. Once submitted, you will be contacted by the Sons of Liberty development team

Application
  • Review and sign Confidentially Agreement
  • Complete a Sons of Liberty Alehouse Franchise Application
  • The Franchise Development Team will visit your current locations

Business Plan

Develop a comprehensive 5-year Business Plan, including a robust financial profit & loss (P&L) exercise and market mapping study.

Provide verifiable evidence of financial performance and sustainability, including:
  • Prior three year’s tax filings
  • Credit, business and personal references
  • Balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statement per existing unit
  • Personal guaranty
  • For new partnerships and corporations: personal financials for each partner, including statements verifying assets
  • For existing entities with operating history: audited financial statements for most recent fiscal year and three years prior
